This blog is about media and communications that is produced in social settings, usually but not always online. Wikipedia is a good example, as is Youtube. It also includes networked social media, where people find and share information with each other on channels like Twitter and Facebook.

All this doesn't only take place online, actually you might think of it as an entirely natural way of being human. But with the Internet, all our natural human-ness is amplified, both the good and the bad.
